PAX, SIBX and SIPX are all xanthate collectors that differ in carbon-chain length. SIPX (short chain) reacts fast and suits fine particles. SIBX (medium chain) balances selectivity and recovery, the standard for many copper and cobalt plants. PAX (long chain) gives strong, less selective collection, effective on coarse particles. Many plants blend two or more.
