A classic depressant for sphalerite (zinc sulphide), used together with cyanide in copper-zinc and lead-zinc separation circuits.
Zinc sulphate, ZnSO4 (anhydrous CAS 7733-02-0; heptahydrate CAS 7446-20-0).
Depresses sphalerite during copper or lead flotation so zinc can be recovered separately downstream.
Store dry and sealed.
