A long-chain sodium xanthate delivering strong, less-selective collection for coarse and difficult-to-float sulphides.
SAX is the sodium salt of amyl xanthic acid, the sodium counterpart to PAX. Its longer hydrocarbon chain gives strong hydrophobicity and good recovery of coarse particles.
Used in copper, gold and complex sulphide circuits, especially for scavenger duty and recovery of coarse composite particles.
Cool, dry, ventilated; keep sealed to limit moisture pickup.
Flammable solid; potential CS2 evolution on decomposition. Full Safety Data Sheet (SDS) supplied with every consignment.
